Robert LABAT DE VIVENS

Viscount Robert LABAT DE VIVENS was born on January 6, 1771 in Clairac. He is the son of Bernard, André Labat de Vivens, a former infantry officer, and of Grâce Ainslie, his wife. He was baptized on January 11, 1771. His godfather was his maternal great-uncle, Robert Ainslie, and his godmother Elisabeth, Judith Labat de Vivens, his paternal aunt.
Member of the Clairac town council since 1810, member of the Lot-et-Garonne General Council from 1816 to 1830, he was appointed Knight of the Royal Order of the Legion of Honour on December 26, 1844.
His knight's cross was presented to him at Clairac on January 28, 1845 by Louis, Edmond, Mathieu Dugué, sub-prefect of Marmande. He died on March 13, 1855.
